The Hauraki Gulf is truly one of Auckland’s finest crowning jewels. The Hauraki Gulf is studded with more than 50 islands and numerous beaches. Most of the Hauraki Gulf is part of the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park and is full of marine life including dolphins, whales and orcas. Many of the stunning islands in the Gulf are refuges for endangered species, are stunning volcanic islands, or are breathtaking resort islands.
