Plimmerton is a suburb of Porirua, near Wellington, with a range of amenities including a craft shop, beauty salon, supermarket and several cafes and restaurants. A number of popular beaches are close to Plimmerton, including South Beach, Plimmerton Beach and Karehana Bay.
