The Bealey area is roughly half way between Christchurch and Hokitika, and is a popular place to stop during a drive through the Arthur's Pass. The Bealey Hotel has a large car park, so it is suitable for campervans. Motorcyclists often stop at Bealey to freshen up or warm up, and there are magnificent views over the Bealey River and valley. more
