Devonport Attractions and Activities
Devonport is a Historic Village and the home to the New Zealand Navy and the Navy Museum. It is an excellent destination to explore the early Military History of New Zealand with North Head being "The Main Defense against the Enemy" during the feared Russian invasion of the 1880's. Walk through all the tunnels and bunkers of this Military Fort. From Mt. Victoria, the highest volcanic cone on Auckland's North Shore you can experience spectacular views back to Auckland City and the Hauraki Gulf.
